The Memorial of the Battle of Waterloo 1815, in collaboration with the European Federation of Napoleonic Cities, presents the exhibition "From Waterloo to Saint Helena: the birth of the legend". Inaugurated on the 5th May 2021, the bicentenary of Napoleon's death, it will run until the 17th October 2021 and will feature around a hundred original pieces.

The exhibition will bring together objects coming directly from Saint Helena and will deal with four themes taking place between 1815 and Napoleon's death: from the battle of Waterloo to exile in Saint Helena, Napoleon's daily life in Longwood, the fight through the pen and the image, Napoleon's death and his elevation to the rank of mythical figure and finally the time of the hero, with his golden and black legend.
