The European Federation of Napoleonic Cities (FECN) Napoleonic undertakes to ensure that the collection and processing of your data, carried out on the www.napoleoncities.eu website, complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés).
The information is only collected for the purposes of managing your request and for the FECN’s internal statistics.

Cookies

When you visit our website www.napoleoncities.eu, cookies are placed on your computer, mobile phone or tablet. We use various cookies on the site to measure site traffic as well as to offer you videos, share buttons, content feeds from social platforms and animated and interactive content.

Contact form

If you send us questions via the contact form, we will collect the data entered on the form, including the contact details you have provided, in order to answer your question and any follow-up questions. We do not share this information without your permission.
We will therefore process all data you have entered on the contact form only with your consent, in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GRPD. You may revoke your consent at any time. An informal email making this request is sufficient. Data processed before we receive your request can still be processed legally.
We will retain the data you provide on the contact form until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for its storage or the purpose of its storage no longer applies (e.g. after we responded to your request). All mandatory legal provisions, in particular those concerning mandatory data storage periods, are not affected by this provision.

Registration on our website

You can register on our website to access the additional functions offered here. The entry data will only be used for the purpose of using the corresponding site or service for which you have registered. The mandatory information requested when registering must be provided in full. Otherwise we will reject your registration.
In order to inform you of important changes such as those within our site or technical modifications, we will use the email address specified at the time of registration.

Newsletter

If you wish to receive our newsletter, we require a valid e-mail address and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No additional data is collected or collected only on a voluntary basis. We only use this data to send the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.
We will therefore process all data you have entered on the contact form only with your consent, in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent to the storage of your data and e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, e.g. via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. Data processed before we receive your request can still be processed legally.
The data provided when subscribing to the newsletter will be used to distribute the newsletter until you cancel your subscription when this data is deleted. Data that we have stored for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses for the members area) remains unchanged.

Plugins and tools

GOOGLE MAPS
This website uses the Google Maps service via an API. It is operated by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
In order to use Google Maps it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this website has no influence on this data transfer.
The use of Google Maps is in the interest of making our website attractive and to make it easier for you to find the locations specified by us on the website. This is a justified interest in accordance with § 6 (1) (f) DSGVO.
