From Monday 15 to Tuesday 30 March 2021.
The figures of the two very different women who shared life and the throne with Napoleon are analysed on the basis of a series of paintings by the court artist R. J. Lefèvre: some of his masterpieces depicting Josephine and Marie Louise are investigated on the basis of documentary evidence, finally unravelling doubts and uncertainties about the paintings and offering a new insight into the author himself.
